Mint condition. Club crest is embroidered. Manufacturer logo, shirt design elements and lower club lettering are all sublimated. Club sponsor is flock and heat applied. No pulls or bobbles. Colours and stitching in excellent condition. 

After losing 2 of the first 3 games of the 1996/97 season, manager Alan Ball and replaced with Steve Coppell. The new manager only lasted 33 days and 6 matches in charge before resigning.

Phil Neal took over on a caretaker basis for 10 games; however he lost 7 of these and by Christmas, City were in the bottom half of Division One and had turned to Frank Clark to arrest the decline but he couldn't improve the team too much and City finished 14th in the final table.
